Look for Micki at…

Join us for a very special Tomorrow’s Theatre Tonight, Thursday, April 18th, 2013, at 7:30 p.m., at Prescott College’s Crossroads Café, 220 Grove Avenue.
Playwright Cathy Hartenstein, comes to Prescott from Sedona this month for TTT, bringing with her, her play ILALA, directed by our own Kate Hawkes. A special evening indeed.
ILALA chronicles the lives of five women from different countries and points in history, all searching for their lost daughters. Each woman is living under a government system that has used its power against its people. The play explores how five women overcome the pain that the policies of their governments have inflicted on their lives. In the end, all the women have transformed the pain of their past into hope for their future. At the same time, Hartenstein’s play attempts to acknowledge the human cost that governmental policies have on ordinary lives.
Join us for a rehearsed reading of this new play at the Prescott College Crossroads Café for April’s TTT new works offering. Off the alley, behind 220 Grove Avenue, Prescott. Suggested donation: $5. (Wouldn’t it be nice to bring in enough donations to pay at least for Cathy’s gas to Prescott.)
Cathy Hartenstein has directed and worked at theatres all across the nation including The Cleveland Play House, The Goodman Theatre, Northlight Theatre, Actor’s Theatre of Louisville, Wellfleet Harbor’s Actor’s Theatre, Austin Theatre Company, St. Louis Shakespeare Company, and the New York City Fringe Festival.
Cathy is currently an Adjunct Professor at Arizona State University. Previously, she served as Education Director at the Cleveland Play House. She has taught at several universities including: University of Arizona, University of Colorado at Boulder, DeSales University, Southwestern University, and University of Texas at Austin. She holds an M.F.A in Directing from the University of Texas.
Don’t miss this special evening at Tomorrow’s Theatre Tonight!
